Plucking is a simple dealing skill that every dealer should know. It is a very fast and efficient way to grab a small amount of casino cheques.
Keep in mind that plucking is not proving what you are paying as sometimes you will grab more than one cheque when you pluck. The only ways to prove what you are paying is to splash, cut out, size-in, or a mixture of these methods
Standard procedure is to pluck only if you need 4 or less cheques. If you need 5 or more, you will simply grab a stack of 5 or more and cut out what you need.
For instance, if you need to cut-out 6 cheques, you will grab a stack, drop-cut 3 cheques then size into that stack.
If you need 8 cheques, drop-cut 4, then size into it.
If you need 7 cheques, drop-cut 3, size into it, then drop 1 cheque afterwards.
We will follow a similar procedure for 9 cheques; drop-cut 4, size into it, then drop 1 cheque.
